Rudston News - The Rudston Village Website
It is said that Rudston is probably one of the oldest inhabited village in England. Certainly, there is much archaeology to prove that the village had occupants during the Neolithic age. The most obvious landmark in Rudston is the Monolith (Bronze Age), at about 26 feet high, this carved stone is situated next to the church. This is the tallest standing stone in Britain.

CAMRA - Campaign for Real Ale

It is an easy walking, 6638 yard course, with some of the finest greens in the area. The presentation of the course is excellent. With thousands of trees screening the fairways, six water features and many well-positioned bunkers, it offers a challenge to the discerning golfer.

Filey Golf Club

Ganton Golf Club
There are few better places to play golf than Ganton. As one arrives along the lane to the Clubhouse there is a feeling of peace which is only broken by glimpses of the bunkers, real bunkers which as Patric Dickinson described in his classic book 'A Round of Golf Courses' seem to say "Good Morning, we hope to be introduced."
All visitors must be in possession of a current handicap certificate.

Hornsea Golf Club
Measuring 6647 yards from the white tees (SSS 72) and with plenty of trouble awaiting the wayward tee shot or approach, the course is challenging for golfers of every standard and is highly rated throughout Yorkshire.

Scarborough Golf Club
A great attraction to visitors is the inspiring view of the shore and sea. There is an exhilarating freshness of the breeze that is never wholly absent on the calmest of days and which at other times can add a new hazard to the testing quality of the course.
The total length of the course is 6405 yards, all in all a very nice course, expertly laid out in a magnificent setting, challenging enough to test the skills of even the best golfers.
